Our stain glass windows on the first stairwell landing. This is what sold me on the house.

Ok...so I went out and took some new pics of the house. Hope you like them. This shows the new drive we put in last year and part of the garage.

Here is my hubby gutting the main bathroom. We started this in July and it doesn't look much different today except that it is completely gutted and we have some plumbing lines done. Our contractor is not real reliable when it comes to time.

view of the deck we had built. We ended up taking the lattice off and putting up solid boards and we stained it a reddish color.

This is a pic of the 3 car garage we had built for the house. There wasn't one there to begin with. We tried to have it look somewhat like it belonged. The gravel is now a concrete drive too.

The "cement pond" with gobs of daylilies all over the place. It doesn't hold water for some reason and the po took the statue too.
This is a view of the front porch. This was the previous owners stuff on here.

This is a side view of our house. One of the po's put siding on this house then someone else painted it. The bay window on the bottom in navy blue actually has curved windows and glass. Of course no storms for these at all.

Our House

Ok...so we bought this house a little over 2 years ago and for the most part we love it. It has had so many po's that they have done quite a bit of muck ups. We built a new garage and put a new roof on plus gutters, driveway, deck and heating and air. This house was built in 1889 or 1900...not sure of the exact year. Not sure either of the style of house. We have leaded glass windows in the front and 2 stained glass windows also on the front/side of the house. We heard that the house was built by a doctor but that he never lived here. The house next to us was the hospital at that time. There is hardwood floors throughout the house except for the bathroom which had some fake wood looking vinyl down. Of course since we took out the radiators we have holes in the floors where the pipes went through. One of these days we will fix those or maybe I will just put electrical outlets there instead. We found that the po's had put the foam type insulation on the porch on the ledges by the pillars then painted it so it looked like the wood was all intact. This pic here shows the old drive since this was inspection day for us before we closed on the house. Hope you like the pic.
